i put up some blinds this weekend. almost without any help from ross. these are hopefully going to make a big difference in our power consumption since this sliding-glass door is west-facing.

i'm proud.:) they are fabric - so there's just a weight at the end keeping them straight, but the light shines through them and makes me happier than plain vinyl or metal blinds would. you can also see the wood-work that ross and i cut, stained and put around our windows, doors and floors.

first we have upside-down tomatoes.

and strawberries (can you find the cat in this picture?)

and i promised pictures of our landscaping. it looks SO much better.

I am VERY impressed that you hung (hanged) those blinds yourself. I had ours professionally installed and they did not look that easy. Landscaping looks great! Tomatoes look potentially productive.
On a constructive note from thhis end. We put up a really nice gazebo on our deck this weekend with all twinkly lights and screens. It is so wonderful thhat I had two gin and tonics in it last night. :)

you are funny. i am very pleased with the blinds. they weren't as hard as i thought they would be in most ways but getting the bottom screws to actually go in the wall was harder. that part ross helped with.
