lament for a good pair of jeans

i really need a new pair of jeans and i've got a difficult body-type to fit.
old navy quit carrying the jeans they made that fit me except the ones with intentional flaws in the material! this is not okay. their stuff is cheap to begin with, i don't need intentional tears in material to make it even more likely that my pants rip or wear through!
and damn it if most other flare jeans aren't also $200!
ridiculous!
who pays $100 and up for jeans!?!
i will be taking a trip to the thrift store.

call me kooky, but have you tried department store mens stuff? not the most fashionable but you might find the fit and cut you want. and not for $200.

not kooky in the slightest.
at least not about this.
i used to wear nothing but 501's (and get them for about $30).
however, i have hips now, and an ass. and 501's no longer cut it (although i suppose i could try something else). mainly i want something that i actually look good wearing and from what i've been able to tell, that means curvy around the ass and flared out at the ankles to make my thighs look less huge. i'm a big fan of boot cut.
probably WAY more information than you wanted.

i guess i did not notice anything out of proportion when i saw you in october. but let it be noted that neither hips nor an ass are a bad thing. ;/

id defintely give a store brand a try, look at possible jc penney's arizona stuff. i think theyve got both mens and womens. so with a little trying on (OMG!!! trying on clothes before buying? is he insane???!!!11one!!) i think youll find something to accentuate said ass and 'cover' the thighs.

What is your budget for jeans?

I can use my shopping-fu to help you, but I need a base line with which to work with.

Coincidentally, my little sister just bought a pair of jeans for 120 bucks. So yes, there are people that will spend that amount of money on jeans.
