Easy Lentil Stew
*small measurements are guesses, i don't actually measure when i am doing this*
i bag dry lentils
1 & 12 onion
10 of those itty bitty carrots
5 medium red potatoes (or a proportionate number of small ones)
1 big can stewed tomatoes
2 sticks celery
4 strips bacon
water
2 Tbsps thyme
1 tsp salt (the bacon provides enough salt)
1 Tbsp pepper
chop up the veggies (make sure potatos are bit-size)and throw everything in a crock pot with just enough water to cover. cook until the potatos are soft.
this is esp. good with fresh bread.
