mysterious cat bump

yeah, so yesterday morning i found a lump on my cat's face.
it was on her lip on the right side and there was no cooresponding bump on the other side (not a place where teeth stuck out naturally).
so i made an appointment with the vet.
i thought it might be an absess or something, since i know cats get them.

the vet took a look at her.
she lifted up her lip and she POPPED the sucker.
madeleine had a blackhead the size of her nose.
i was amazed. i didn't know cats could get zits.
how undignified.
anyway, now she's all up to date on her shots, has had her ears cleaned, and is substantially less plagued by acne. :) i am amused.

rofl! the first time something like this happened to us, it was with our dog. he was getting bumps all over his face! like... everywhere. especially his chin. he had HUGE ones on his chin. the vet told us he was becoming a man. :)

My cat apollo is a zit cat. He gets them all over his cheeks and chin.

And I thought that leaky anal glands were nasty... Okay, well, they are. But spewing cat zits? Pretty darn gross!!

well yes, that would have been more serious...but absesses are still treatable with antibiotics.
what i'm really thankful for is that it wasn't cancer. *shudders*
