today i got a desk chair. woot! funny thing to get excited about i suppose, but i've never actually owned one before. just borrowed other peoples' or had one supplied by the school i studied at. now i have a really nice one. worth the wait. i screwed up on the window trim and didn't get one side of it so i have to go down and get it done, but first!

the latest from my riotously funny hebrew prof:
with apologies to the beach boys - words by Mark A. Throntveit, Luther Seminary

Well, imperfect verbs are hip,
I really dig those signs they wear.
The first three stems are recognized
By their first root letter.

The Niphals have a daghesh
And a qamets with those roots,
While the Piels have a patach there
And the Puals have qibbuts.

Chorus:
I wish they all could be Qal imperfect...
I wish they all could be Qal imperfect...
I wish they all could be Qal imperfect verbs.

I've been all around this kind of verb
And I've seen the signs it gives.
The last three stems are recognized
By their preformatives:

The Hiphils have a patach,
The Hophals a short oh-oh-oh,
The Hithpaels all have a Tav
With a sheva down there below.

Chorus

that man cracks me up.

You scored as Jean Grey. Jean Grey is likely the most powerful X-Man. She loves Cyclops very much but she has a soft spot for Wolverine. She's psychic so she can sense how others are feeling and tries to help them. She also has to control her amazing powers or the malevolent Phoenix entity could take control of her and wreak havok. Powers: Telekinetic, Telepathic
